Educational Support

In Africa, specifically Uganda, Education is the long term way out of the already desperate situation of poverty. In addition to literacy, education provides hope that one’s life and that of their family will change at some point down the road.

Educational support is one of Gleam of hope’s main programs because of the impact and multiplier effect education can have on families and societies as a whole in this part of the World.

Using meagre resources at our disposal, we have managed to support students in our area of operation (Four Districts) at various educational levels.

Activities under this program include among others;

• Sponsorship, this involves identification and recruitment of beneficiaries
• Identification of partner schools and placement of beneficiaries in those schools, payment of fees and scholastic materials.
• Monitoring of the academic performance, general welfare and progress of selected beneficiaries.

To meet qualification into the program criteria, we assess the level of vulnerability of the prospective beneficiary’s family and also evaluate the students academic aptitude and ability to stay the course.
