Poverty and poor nutrition move hand in hand, families in the areas we serve barely scrap by, living on less less than a dollar per day and practicing subsistence agriculture. The result of poor nutrition has been poor outcomes in both physical and mental development of children in these areas.

Furthermore, in developing countries like Uganda, malnutrition is an underlying and often invisible cause of up to 45% of child deaths. A significant percentage of children, adolescents and adults suffer from various micronutrient deficiencies, these in turn affect immunity, productivity, and compromises human potential.

Our Nutritional support program uses the approaches below;

  • Giving of food supplies such as soya porridge, milk and Irish potatoes.
  • Establishing and running drop clinics
  • Making outreaches to families (home visits)
